To Douglas's parents, my deepest condolences, I know the pain you are going through, 19 years ago I lost my son, he was born without kidneys and had other complications, he lived less than 12 hours, unfortunately I never got to see him, hold him or even kiss him goodbye. He died and was taken directly to the coroners office.

On September 11, 2007 I lost my 10yr old daughter Kathryn Coleman. She woke up that morning, came down stairs and stated she was dizzy, she fell on the floor and stopped breathing, I administered cpr, called 911, and before they arrived I saw my baby take her last breath, ems finally got here, worked on her and nothing. When she died part of me died with her. I don't think I will ever be whole again.

On March 18, 2008, Kathryn's father committed suicide, he talked about it for 6 months and everyone tried to talk him out of it, but he felt he had nothing to live for, he missed his little girl so much he wanted to be with her. He literally drank himself to death causing his heart to have 2 massive heart attacks back to back.

My life is filled with such sadness, I grieve everyday. One thing is for certain if it weren't for God and the wonderful power of prayer I don't know where I would be today. Please believe in God, he will help you through everything.

You will have good days and bad days, some of those good days you might even feel guilty because you smiled that day, it's all a part of the healing process. Holidays are very hard, even though it's been a year for my little girl I cry just as hard for her as the day she died.
